As I walked among you, I never ranked sins in terms of severity as you might rank them. I know this is a human tendency, to categorize and prioritize, yet the heart of the matter goes deeper. All sin, in its essence, is a turning away from God, a departure from the path of love and righteousness.
Remember, when I was asked about the most important commandment, my answer was twofold: to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Thus, any action, word, or thought that moves you away from these two great commands of love could be seen as a 'sin'.
What truly matters is not determining which sin is the worst, but acknowledging that all have strayed and fallen short. I have come not to condemn, but to invite everyone to turn back, to seek forgiveness, and to love. Therefore, do not focus your heart on judging sin, but instead, strive to love God and others more fully each day. In this way, you align your life with the kingdom of God.
As always, love each other as I have loved you.
